Sahib Khan the senior vice president of Apple Company with the help of a letter told the people that Apple’s global supply chain is trying to make some safety changes to protect the workers. This decision has been taken by the global supply of chains to prevent the workers from this serious and pandemic outbreak of coronavirus. From the reports, it has been seen that the company is working very much hard with the global supply chain to make new safety changes for the people working in the Apple Company. Hence, the new safety measures taken by the Apple Company to protect workers will include health screenings, limiting density, ensuring strict adherence to social distancing.
Furthermore, the company said that we will now be enhancing the methods of cleaning as well as social distancing at the places. All the workers available for the work in companies will have to wear masks to use sanitizers and will also go through health screening on a daily basis. Along with all these Personal Protective Equipment during work hours should be used by the workers and also enhanced deep cleaning protocols with be implemented.
Probing further, Apple Company says that we have also worked with the suppliers to change factory floor plans, working hours as well as work shifts. Sahib Khan said that this all will help the workers to have maximized interpersonal space during the working hours. In addition, he says the employer’s health is more important than work, that’s why the company decided to have these new safety features.
Apple’s CEO Tim Cook informed the employees in April only that we are going to have temperature checks and social distancing norms whenever the staffers will return to company offices. Therefore, it has been noted that the employees may be returning to the offices soon. Moreover, retail stores of Apple in mid-march got shut down but most probably they are going to open this week and all the workers going to work will have to go for temperature checks as well as will have to wear masks and use sanitizers.
